About Humly Humly wants to be a positive force in society by working with schools and helping pupils reach their full potential, even when their regular teacher is unavailable. We have developed a digital marketplace that matches supply teachers with available assignments in schools to achieve this. To date, Humly’s teachers have delivered more than one hundred thousand teaching days.

Humly has 60 employees working at our offices in Gothenburg, Fareham, Milton Keynes, Manchester and Birmingham. We have over 3,000 registered teachers and agreements with over 4,000 schools in Sweden and the UK. But we haven’t finished yet. We are continuing to develop our marketplace and are also expanding our offer into new international markets. 

Humly has, during the last year, made four acquisitions in Sweden and England. Our ambition is to make several acquisitions per year and integrate the acquired companies into our technology and way of working for the upcoming years. With a clear strategy for acquisitions and financially strong owners, we are ready for a new team member to fill the role as our Head of M&A.  

The role
As our Head of M&A, you will play a crucial role in Humly’s future development and growth. You will be a vital part of the team with responsibility for the company’s M&A activity. You will:

  • Source and evaluate potential target companies
  • Conduct financial modelling and valuation
  • Negotiate letter of intent
  • Project lead the Due Diligence process and build a strong network of advisers
  • Lead the negotiations and strive for successful completions
  • Be supportive in areas like financing and integration

Qualifications
- University degree in economics, finance, or similar.

- At least five years of proven experience in M&A.

- Strong business mind and excellent analytical skills. Must be an expert in using standard finance tools and the MS Office Suite.

- Results-driven and has good project management skills. 

- Knowledge of M&A processes and experience in leading these types of processes. We’re particularly interested if this experience is with UK businesses.

- You will need a positive mindset and always see challenges as opportunities for growth and personal development. 

Location
Humlys HQ are in Gothenburg but we value if you could spend a lot of your time in the UK to meet potential sellers and companies. The role will primarily be remote work and we can offer a wide range of offices where you can work from in the UK i.e Fareham, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Manchester.

Your work language will be English.
